# The Abacos

Known as the "Sailing Capital of the Bahamas," the Abacos offer a unique blend of maritime heritage, colonial charm, and protected cruising waters.

The Abacos archipelago consists of Great Abaco, Little Abaco, and a chain of smaller barrier cays. The Sea of Abaco, protected by these outer cays, provides calm waters ideal for sailing and easy island-hopping between picturesque settlements.

Each cay has its own character-from the historic lighthouse at Hope Town to the boat-building traditions of Man-O-War Cay. The Abacos reward those who take time to explore, with friendly locals, excellent restaurants, and a pace of life that feels wonderfully removed from the modern world.
